The Central Ontario club has 120 members. The club was the first trail building club north of Toronto and has developed and enhanced an excellent working relationship with the County of Simcoe and through this relationship has access to 30,000 acres of forest for trail development. The club also works with private landowners and Simcoe County municipalities to develop ATV loops and trail links.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This project proposal will in involve 2 phases, with the first being a new 20 kms trail system from Creemore to Duntroon. It will include parking and unloading areas at designated entry points and will notify the riders through the OFATV signage program about rider safety and property integrity. The trail will cover private land and unopened road allowances. While on private farm properties we will be using the forested areas which will provide noise dampening and respects the farmers’ investment in his crop. The trail under development will cross wet areas, streams and ecological sensitive areas. The club proposes to install culvers and bridges where required. An OFATV signage program will be included in this project. The second project involves a partnership with the County of Simcoe and access to 150 kms trail system in the Creemore Forest, the Brentwood Forest, the Anten Mills Forest and the Wyevale Tract. In lieu of the fact that the trails are established by the County, the club will provide the OFATV signage program as phase two of this project. The COATV club has committed to providing wardens to monitor trail usage and to ensure respect for other trail users. All work on both phases of this project will be completed by volunteers.
